Lakeview cattle operation

Lakeview Ag operates a feedlot where cattle are raised using commodities grown on the farm, including crops such as corn, barley, potatoes and hay. These homegrown feeds help support the growth and finishing of the farm’s own calves and cattle.

In addition to feeding our own livestock, Lakeview Ag also provides custom feeding services, caring for and feeding calves and cattle for other producers while focusing on consistent nutrition, health, and strong performance. Lakeview Ags custom feeding operation is focused on providing professional, efficient care for livestock on behalf of cattle owners. By combining quality nutrition management, attentive daily care, and industry best practices, Lakeview Ags Custom Feeding supports producers in maximizing the value and productivity of their cattle in a well-managed feedlot environment.

We use our TMR mixer to make the perfect blend of nutrient rich feed for our cattle. Many different products go into making this feed, but some of the most pertinent ingredients include: Supplements, alfalfa hay, straw, and potatoes. The operation specializes in tailored feeding programs designed to promote healthy growth, optimal weight gain, and strong overall herd performance. 

Our top priority is to ensure the health and well being of our mother calves and their calves. Because of our hay and straw operation, we have an abundance of feed and bedding to keep these cattle warm and healthy year round.

At Lakeview, there are 350 cow calf pairs. Calves are born and taken care of at our ranch location in the winter and spring months, and then taken to a pasture during our warm summer months.
