Lakeview cattle operation

Our top priority is to ensure the health and well being of our mother calves and their calves. Because of our hay and straw operation, we have an abundance of feed and bedding to keep these cattle warm and healthy year round.

At Lakeview, there are 150 cow calf pairs. Calves are born and taken care of at the feedlot in the winter and spring months, and then taken to a pasture during our warm summer months. 

Utilizing mixed feed helps to create a diet of essential proteins and nutrients that cattle need to lead an active and healthy life. For cattle, mixed feed means that they will not only remain happy and healthy, but will also provide ample nutrition that tastes good as well. 

We use our TMR mixer to make the perfect blend of nutrient rich feed for our cattle. Many different products go into making this feed, but some of the most pertinent ingredients include: Supplements, alfalfa hay, straw, and potatoes.

Because of the important role these bulls play in our operation, good nutrition and proper management is essential to ensure these superior bulls produce the highest quality calves. They are on a consistent and nutrient rich feed to ensure their well being, and to produce the highest quality calves as possible.

Our top of the line bulls are used for beef production and superior genes. These bulls are selectively chosen for their good conformation and they produce high-quality calves.
