Welcome! Here is a little insight of Lakeview Ag's potato farm. We have different varieties of potatoes that are planted, grown, and harvested around south east Idaho. Lakeview potatoes are under contract and then distributed all around the country. Our main goal is to raise Idaho grown spuds for all to enjoy.
We have 2 wind rowers that go ahead of the harvester to dig up the potatoes, the potatoes are then picked up by the harvester and transported into the crop cart. We then load from the crop cart to the 10 wheeler potato trucks.
We transport all of our potatoes from the field back to the cellars or to trans load at a central location. We are able to fill a potato truck in approximately 3 minutes and they hold nearly 15 tons of potatoes in each truck load.
Once we haul the potatoes from the field, we unload onto our pilers in order to transport the potatoes onto a semi. We also are able to look through the potatoes and pick out any dirt, rocks, vines, and foreign objects before they go to the plant or our cellars.
